SABBY THE ARTIST, also known as Sabrina Boumait, is an R&B artist from Philadelphia, PA. Her passion for music was ignited when she was 5 years old. She would find herself wanting to sing, especially into things like old paper towel rolls or vacuum hoses, because they allowed her voice to take up space in a room. At that age, she had no idea as to how talented she actually was, she just knew it felt right.

Growing up in Philadelphia, the people she was surrounded by were raw and uncut, yet, full of soul. This gave her a certain edge in her personality that adds to who she is as an artist. It has given her freedom in her music to tell it like it is. The experiences she speaks on in her music come from an honest place.

In 2019, going into her senior year, Sabrina was attending The Arts Academy At Benjamin Rush High School, as a vocal major. In the same summer, she lost her older brother. This traumatic event made her realize that life is extremely short and she placed an immediate importance on following her dreams. She was determined to live a big life, full of beautiful experiences while pursuing her music career.

Sabby has a captivating sound that instantly grabs the attention of listeners. Her sound is self described as, “from the soil deep.” She compares writing a song to painting on a canvas. She needs it to be as vivid as possible and make her listeners feel something special. In her most recent release, The Tide Calms Down EP, she speaks on the high tides we face in our lives with the reminder that it will always subside.

Through her recent partnership with WRKSHP, she plans to soon release another EP and expand her fan base. Sabby works to impact her listeners in a real way and create music that will live on forever. Her energy will soon be felt by the masses.
